Old Steamboat Plaid Corduroy Shirt
Details
Back in the late 19th century, Old Steamboat earned his reputation as “The Horse That Couldn’t Be Ridden.” While license plates commemorate him today, his defiant spirit influenced us to name our long-standing corduroy after him. Bucking all conceived notions, fine, 16-wale cotton has been yarn-dyed and garment-washed for a softer feel. Button-down collar, shirttail hem. Machine wash. Imported.

Mislabeled Colors
I ordered the Tobacco color shirt and it showed to be a chocolate brown color but recieved a shirt that was khaki color. Also when looking in the mail advertisement catalog it is described as pine colored Perhaps the two are not being advertised for what they are. I’m not buying two shirts taking chances this company can’t display correctly on the website or catalogs. This was the first order and a flop. Too bad poor goods
Shirt size vastly different than prior shirts and no return phone calls
I like the quality of Territory Ahead shirts. I buy medium size shirts and that’s fine but on this recent purchase I get a new medium size shirt and the sleeves are 2 inches longer than prior shirts. That’s a problem. And then I get no response from email or phone calls, so that’s another problem. Just be aware of what you’re getting (bad product and worse service) when you work with this group.
Dusty Blue and Pine colors are different than photos
I just wrote a review for the Pine color, but I failed to mention what color it was. The pine color is much darker and seems completely different from the photos. See Melissa's review. I also got the Dusty Blue. It is much paler in person than it looks in the photos. Both of these differences are enough to make me consider returning them. I also got the Azure blue color. It looks darker and less vivid than the photos, but I will keep that one because I still like it. I have one of these shirts from a couple of years ago and I do like the shirt itself. I have to like the color, though. PS: Interestingly, when I tried to take a photo with my Iphone, the color looked closer to the photos in the catalog, but not quite. I guess these phones tend to inhance colors so you the always looks beautiful in family photos. The attached photos are of the Dusty Blue, Pine, and Azure colors.
Color does not match the photo in the catalog
As some others have mentioned, the color of this shirt is much darker than in the photo. I have had one of these cordoroy shirts in a different color for a few years and I like it. It is a nice shirt. However, I dont' remember the color deviating from the catalog as much as this one does. I do think cordoroy fabric tends to make the color a little less vivid than the photos, especially over time. That said, the color difference for this particular shirt is pretty drastic. Conversely, the azure blue one looks pretty close to the photo (I just got that color as well).
Horrible Customer Service
I just received my Natural and Azure Blue shirts yesterday 10/25/24. with an order date of 8/7/24. It took just under 11 weeks for this product to get delivered. Multiple phone calls, online chats and emails got me nowhere! The shirts. once they arrived are a mixed bag. The Natural is very true to the pictures online, but the Azure Blue looks nothing like what is shown online. Where you see a slight red background in the pictures, is actually a darker shade of gray. I am keeping the shirt, but not happy. When you order from this place, just be mindful that it may take a couple months for your shipment to arrive and take the pictures online with a grain of salt. The one thing I will say is you will not find a better quality shirt anywhere. Thick fabric that lays well once you put it on!
