What fabric has more character than Donegal tweed, the classy wool that comes flecked with the colors of the Irish countryside? Donegal can, however, be scratchy and hard to care for, two downsides that we’ve rectified with this maximally convenient and comfortable modern version. It’s made of a machine washable wool-synthetic blend—a whole bunch of it, actually, for a shirt that’s got some serious weight to it— and the bold stripes add a sporty element. Look closely and you’ll find the signature colorful speckling too, of course. It all adds up to a uniquely colored shirt that offers the rugged warmth of a favorite blanket. Classic fit.
